Assalammualaikum and hello everyone!
Today, I want to tell you about one of Indonesian’s
heroes named Agus Salim. Do you guys know that Agus Salim has played an
important role for Indonesian’s independence and after the independence? If you
dont know it yet, let me tell you.
In the months approaching the proclamation of
Indonesian’s independence, Agus Salim was a member of the committee of nine that
wrote the Jakarta Charter which became the preamble to Indonesia’s
constitution.
After the independence, in 1946-1949 he became a foreign minister during Sjahrir II Cabinet, Sjahrir III Cabinet, Amir Sjarifuddin I Cabinet, Hatta I Cabinet, and Hatta II Cabinet.
But, in 1947 a delegation chaired by Agus Salim went to several Arabic countries to seek de jure recognition of Indonesian’s independence, and they succeeded. Egypt recognized Indonesian's independence on June 10, 1947, Iran in July 1947, and Lebanon also Saudi Arabia on November 24, 1947.

There are many things that we can learn from him. We must
have a lot of knowledge, fight for our nation without ulterior motives, and the
most important thing is we have to study hard for a better Indonesia.
